Jonathan has a strong understanding of the critical relationships between urban design, transportation, spatial planning, and delivery. This has been developed because of his extensive and relevant work on a huge number of complex urban development projects across the UK and Ireland, mostly gained whilst working for 10 years at London based Urban Initiatives. Jonathan has worked on many major growth projects involving complex transport planning and infrastructure considerations. He is currently advising on Harlow Garden Town, Filton Airfield Bristol and Buckover Garden Village.
Previously, he has advised on Birmingham Big City Plan, Clonburris Dublin SDZ and Garden Villages at Welborne Fareham and Taunton Growth. Integrating street design with urban design means Jonathan continues to advise on some of the best projects in the South West region.
He is currently leading important street engineering projects like, Torquay Stand Transformation, Swindon Bus Boulevard, Paignton Station Gateway, Crediton High Street and the new Buckover High Street on the A38. His street engineering experience means he is a regular speaker at many events across the region for RTPI and CIHT. He has acted as a transport and highways Expert Witness several times including acting for the HCA on major development proposals.
