Dominic has been involved in the Arboricultural industry for almost 30 years, specialising in trees and the planning system. He is the owner, and director of Aspect Tree Consultancy Ltd. He is a Chartered Arboriculturist and a Fellow of the Arboricultural Association.
He started his career working within the Planning Department of Teignbridge District Council administering protected tree legislation. He also advised the Development Control section regarding the impacts of proposed development on trees, and vice versa.
He moved onto work in the Urban Design Team at Exeter City Council, where he worked on a range of sites from large residential schemes to commercial sites and on Council enhancement projects.
He moved into the private sector in 2004 and set up Aspect Tree Consultancy to provide bespoke advice and input into layout design, aiming to achieve good quality tree retention. He works for a broad range of customers within the development industry.
